RESORT UPDATES
Our first addition was our new Exercise Facility. We are so pleased that enough of our residents were supportive of this addition we have been planning for 4 years. It is a big hit.
Second, to accompany our new Exercise Facility, we have re-painted the entire interior of the office and East pool hall. It looks beautiful. We have two of the best pool halls in the entire RGV and now it really shows. Last season the men put up new lights and recovered several of the tables. Both areas are looking sharp and they guys really love them., and a few ladies too! Both our west and east teams come out well in the RGV tournaments each and every year.
Third, we have remodeled the mens' and ladies' bathrooms outside the west pool hall and behind the office. Last February, we completed remodeling the men's shower rooms outside the West Hall and we have finally completed remodeling these. Now, all bathrooms at the Resort have been remodeled. It was a huge job: over 20 shower/bathrooms have been redone.
Fourth, we had to redo the landscaping in front of the East Hall. Efforts last year were not successful as some of the plants chosen and mulch added did not work out. We believe we finally have a winning plant combination, a drip system that will do the trick and some gravel to replace the mulch that was making a mess. Thanks to Audrey and Mike and all those that helped redo the area. We believe the plants chosen are now well-spaced and can withstand the Texas temperatures in summer and winter.

OFFICE REPAIRS AND UPGRADES
GOOD NEWS FOR PAYING YOUR ELECTRIC BILLS, ESPECIALLY OUR CANADIAN CUSTOMERS. You asked for it and we made it happen. We have struggled with finding a convenient way for our customers, especially those from Canada, to pay their electric bills without using cash or checks drawn on Canadian banks. It became a challenge because some of our Canadian customers do not have US bank accounts and our bank has consistently refused to accept and process checks drawn on Canadian banks. So, we have been looking at other ways ever since to make it cost effective for us and our guests to pay electric bills without cash or check.
We are pleased to announce that next season, we are informed we can accept debit cards so you can pay your electric bills. We will be installing special software and purchasing pin-pads and other equipment to integrate into our system for this convenience. There will be a small "convenience fee" of 3% of your total electric bills for those wanting to pay that way. However, you still can pay by check drawn on a US bank or with cash, money order or US travelers checks or US cashier's checks if you prefer.
CACTUS AND TREE TRIMMING
One of the special things about our resort is our trees and landscaping. Many resorts have no grass, trees or concrete patios. To keep everything looking nice and in preparation for your arrival this fall, we will continue our massive tree, shrub and cactus removal project of last year on both sides of the Resort. It will continue all summer long.
