That seems to be the motto of our new residents that have been flocking to our Resort since May.  Another park is closing in our area, Keys Estate.  We will be soon welcoming some of their  55+residents to our Resort like we did the Twin Palms folks whose park closed officially the end of September.  We are maintaining our 55+ status so we can only accept those Keys Estate residents meeting our age requirements and our quality standards for units coming into our Resort.

All of our new annual residents are pleased and excited to be at our Resort, unlike several of their friends who went elsewhere.  Some are sorry they chose other parks in the area that either do not have our great amenities and social environment or that did not live up to promises made and customer expectations.  What we promised; we delivered!  It is important to note that we were not able to accept some who wanted to come to our  resort due to the age and condition of their units.  The City of Mission  and our Resort have become stricter and stricter on the age and condition of units they will accept and allow to be moved into Mission and our Resort, which is good for our residents who want to live in a well maintained and quality retirement community.  We want to continue our commitment to have one of the highest quality RV and mobile home parks in the Rio Grande Valley.

Gas prices have certainly had an impact on our reservations but it has been positive for us.  Our new annual reservations have now topped over 60!   And that does not include the dozens of other long term reservations we are taking every week.  Wally O, our general manager, has been very busy over the last few months getting them all moved in.  Our Resort is now about 90 percent SOLD OUT FOR THE SEASON.  Our reservations to date now exceed our total reservations for last year during the height of our season.

We are fast running out of sites.   As RV and Mobile Home Parks close in our area, our residents are recognizing that if they do not secure a space, they may not get one.  We sold so many mobile home sites that we added six more in the last month.  We now have only a few left.  All premium and deluxe sites are gone.  All economy sites are gone.  We have a waiting list for those wanting a site for less than three months during our high season of January-March.

The benefits of  spending winters in a warm climate are many.  First, our prices are 1/3 to 1/2 less for site rentals than in Arizona, Florida and California.  Gas prices are also far below the national average.  Green fees for golf are also inexpensive.  As of this writing, our gasoline prices are only $2.63 per gallon while the national average is well over $3.00 per gallon.  We also have a very active social environment, friendly residents and very warm winters.

It is no secret to our "savvy" residents that you can pay for your space  by saving on the cost of heating your home up north.  Its easy:  just turn down the thermostat at home and spend the winter with us.   More and more of you are purchasing a park model or mobile home at our Resort to save the hassle and expense of hauling a unit back and forth.  Gas prices to get to us  are not as cheap as when you arrive.  So, not only does it save money to buy a mobile or park model, it is a lot more comfortable and spacious than a unit on wheels.

Please view the rest of the newsletter pages to see the special addition on the golf courses so near our Resort, updates on our beautiful new bathrooms with granite counter tops, and other resort happenings.  We hope you enjoy the other pages.

    See you soon,
