These two parts Mission Bell and trade winds are two of the best parks you could ever stay at. They have the friendliest people and so many activities that take place. Lots of great entertainment and very reasonable prices anywhere than a mile of the entertainment.

This is our 7th season at Mission Bell/Tradewinds. We knew this is where we wanted to be the first time we were here. The managers are totally awesome. They are willing to help anyone and always have smiles on their faces. They work very hard but are always happy when the winter texan's get here in the fall. Then there is the activity director Audrey & her husband Mike! They are the best! Audrey plans all the activities & keeps us all entertained & time flies by. She has special dinner parties for us & is a fantastic cook. If anyone ever gets bored in this park it is their own fault because there is always something to do! We hope we can come to this park at least another 20 years. We started staying in our Motor Home but we soon bought a park model because we knew this is where we want to be.

Larry and I first came in 2002, I think. We are quickly becoming the older ones. Why did we stay? All the activities that is the greatest part of our resort, only second to all the friends we now have. Anyone will tell you that we get to play and enjoy our winters here.

This is our first year at the park; our first year of living in a retirement resort and our first winter in the south. We couldn't have chosen a better location. The moment we arrived we were treated like family. Smiling, welcoming faces and people that were more than willing to help you get acquainted and orientated with the park and area. Once we decided on this park, we called and reserved our spot. We were so excited that I called several times to ask questions, I was never once treated with anything other than kindness. The office staff are all always very kind to everyone while maintaining a friendly and caring demeanor. Our Activities Directors, are the most remarkable, tireless, friendly and fun people you will ever meet. We owe all the fun things to do at the park to Audrey and Mike. The meals, games, entertainment, informational meetings and so much more have so much time and work put into each event. Like I said, this is our first of many years to come. We so love our extended family. If a person is bored at this park, it is nobodies fault but their own. Always so much to do.

2014 was our first year at the park; our first year of retirement and our first winter in the south. We couldn't have chosen a better location. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. So many smiling, welcoming faces and willing folks to help you get acquainted and orientated with the park and area. The management of the park is in the very capable hands of Scott and Cynthia Swafford and their work ethic is second to none. They are a very hard-working couple who manage to be in two places at once while juggling a huge and sometimes very stressful work-load. And still maintain a friendly and caring demeanor! You would think their spare time was spent relaxing...not them...their love of human-kind and their giving hearts have them caring and providing for those less fortunate in the community and beyond. Mission Bell/Trade Winds are so fortunate to have this couple as leaders and role models in our park community. They are to be commended. There are so many positives about this park. Audrey, our Activities Director, is one of the most remarkable, tireless, friendly and fun person you will ever meet. We owe all the fun things to do at the park to her...from games, meals, entertainment, info meetings and so much more. She puts her all into her work and is loved by everyone. We can hardly wait to get back to our winter home and enjoy everything the park has to offer.

To Audrey -- a great big 'hi' from me. Wanted to let you know that I am back into swedish weaving again.. It's over 2 years since Earl passed away, I no longer have my house but am doing good. Thank you for all you tried to do for us when we were there. Think of this park often with great memories.

Here we are with less than 2 months to go and am already missing people when I think about it. It will be tough to be away from the residents, the managers the workcampers and all the steady fun things to do. It is just not the same back at home in MT. But we still have time with plenty still scheduled to do and lots of sightseeing left. And we will be back in October, which will be our third season to do it all again. Anyone thinking about joining us there is still more season left and I am sure they can find a spot for you. I dare you to find a reason not to have fun!!! Thanks, Kathi.

Finally got here, our winter home. I love visiting friends and family but we put on 5,000 miles this last six months and I longed for being back here. Life is so easy here. Especially here at Mission Bell/Tradewinds. All my friends in one place. I have a feeling this is going to be a great 6 months. Lots to do. the food, the pool, the games. I intend to do everything I can to help make this a stupendous year. If you are not part of our family yet come and join us. And look me up. I am pretty helpful with the computers and cell phones and other things. And best all I don't charge for help. And same goes to our residents. Let's make this the best year ever. Love to all, Kathi and Jack Salome

I retired a year ago last May, so last winter was our first chance to check out Texas. We were going to check out Florida this winter, but loved the people that we met at MB/TW & decided Texas was the place we would be going to in the winter. We bought a Park Model & this will be the first winter that we will actually be staying at Mission Bell. Jim's brother John & wife Lillian came here for many yrs. & we had visited them before I had retired. The people are so friendly here & they included us in all the activities. We have met so many nice people & are looking forward to seeing all of you in Nov. Jim said that he doesn't dread the thought of winter this yr because we will spend it in Texas. We are looking forward to all the activities available at Mission Bell.

2013/14 was our first year of retirement and after many months of searching we chose Mission Bell. We could not have chosen a better Family to spend our retirement with. It is definitely a Home and Family place. We live in northern Canada (paralle to Juno Alaska) and had three families visit from our summer home in Yellowknife Northwest Territories to Mission Bell. They are coming back and I cannot wait for November 1st to come so we can come home for the winter.

It’s the first time ever that Lucy and I are looking forward to winter. Last year, 2013-’14 we migrated to the Rio Grande Valley and booked a one month stay at Mission Bell / Trade Winds. We were so happy with the resort, staff and all of the activities that we ended up staying 3 months. Before we headed north in the Spring we made arrangements to return to MB/TW for this upcoming winter season. One thing that we are doing differently is that this year we are moving south in mid-November. We are looking forward to reuniting with our winter family. We’ll see you all soon…

Nelson and I came to MBTW as part of the housekeeping crew. We were welcomed with open arms and quickly became part of the family. We were treated with respect and kindness. We loved being there. The only reason we will not be returning is due to family illness. We enjoyed the events/activities and oh my gosh the food is awesome. We miss all of the friends that we made and hope to see them as soon as possible. Not only do we miss them, but we made some life-long friends too. Love y'all bunches.

This was our first year here at MBTW. And we LOVE it!! We are workampers and have enjoyed our jobs. We get to meet new people all the time and get to participate in so many activities. The people here are wonderful. All the managers, especially Scot and Cynthia, the other workampers. our Activity Director and her team all the other residents here.contributed to a wonderful six months for us. They have all become family. And seeing them leave at the end of the season was a lot harder than we expected it to be. We are so happy to be able to come back next year and join you all next winter. See ya'all then!
